Internet Service Provider (ISP)

What is an Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

Internet Service Provider (ISP) are companies or organizations that provide access to the internet for individuals and businesses. They play a critical role for enabling the connection to the internet for users allowing them to access online content and communicate with others.

ISP’s provide the necessary infrastructure and services for facilitating the transmission of data between users and the internet. They allocate IP addresses to customers which in turn allows the devices to be uniquely identified on the web.

ISPs also manage the quality of their internet services, they strive to provide reliable and high performance connections. This also includes the considerations that must be made for bandwidth, latency, and uptime.
